Individual Membership
Types of Membership
There are two types of membership: UK and international.
We have this distinction
because the titles Associate and Fellow are recognition
that persons awarded those titles have reached the required standard
of experience/qualification in English & Welsh law.
UK membership: If
the experience and/or qualifications that you are relying on for
membership relate to the English and Welsh legal system then, provided
you also meet any other criteria; you can become a full student/Educator/Associate
or Fellow as appropriate.
International membership: If
the experience and/or qualifications that you are relying on for
membership relate to another country's legal system then, provided
we accept them, you will be awarded the title Educator (Int'l),
Associate (Int'l) or Fellow (Int'l) - allowing you to use the professional
designation 'Certified Paralegal (Int'l).'
