| We use your data to improve the service we offer you and to try and ensure that you get the best out of our websites.
Non-marketing use
We will use the information you enter at the site for administration purposes and any other purposes made clear in the data entry forms themselves, in any relevant terms or conditions and on any pages or emails which link to such forms.
Certain cookies may be sent to your browser to help us to save you time.
Website customisation and targeting of adverts
We use the data you give us about yourself when you join the Institute to build up a picture of your interests - we then try to ensure that, when you visit the site, you don´t miss the offers and information most relevant to you. For this purpose, we may also link the data you give us with data about your use of the site (gathered via cookies).
The Institute may share website usage information about visitors to our Website with a reputable third-party advertising company for the purpose of targeting our Internet banner advertisements on other sites. For this purpose, we and our third-party advertising company note some of the pages you visit on our Website through the use of pixel tags (also called clear gifs). The information collected by this third-party advertising company through the use of these pixel tags is not personally identifiable. To opt out of this targeting program, please email us at office@thepa.org
Please note, if you remain in this targeting program we may also use pixel tag data collected for the purposes of statistical analysis, website customisation and direct marketing, as further explained in the relevant sections of this policy.
If you join the Institute we will record your personal details. Your data will be used principally to provide you with services or facilities. We retain the data you provide from time to time, including data we collect when you use our services and facilities. Your data may be used for the following purposes: accounting, billing and audit, credit or other payment card verification, security, administrative and legal purposes, operation of membership programmes, systems testing, maintenance and development, customer relations and to help us in any future dealings with you, for example by identifying your requirements and preferences. For these purposes we may disclose your data to any of the Institute's partners mentioned in the Website from time to time. This may involve sending your data between different countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area.
Direct Marketing
The data you give us about yourself, will enable us and our said partners to give you updates using the contact details you provide, on promotions and services we think may interest you or to involve you in market research. To improve our picture of your interests we may link the data you give us with any data we have gathered (via cookies) about your use of the site. In some cases we may also wish to share your data with other selected companies so that they can update you on promotions and services they think may be of interest to you.
Whenever we ask you for information about yourself you may, by ticking the relevant box, opt out of receiving these marketing communications from us (and we will not disclose your information to any third party for marketing after you opt out). In addition, whenever you are contacted by email you will be told how to opt out of being updated by email in the future. From time to time we may run customer surveys. For the purpose of these surveys we may combine cookie data with your answers but we will ensure that the survey results do not identify individual respondents.
